Two images of the 2024 April 8th Eclipse captured a few moments ago via shitty sony a6000. Quite the experience - it was as dark as night. I wished I had a better camera set up, but this will have to do. Also got some shots via a paper pinhole “camera.”
Rachael and I were sitting in the front veranda in the summer when she noticed a neighbourhood cat stalking something. She stood up and saw a fledgling on the road. We shooed the cat away and moved the bird on our front lawn to at least give it a chance. It eventually jumped up into our shrub and there it stayed into the late hours of the night. I hope it found a way or the strength to get its way back to its family, but somehow I doubt nature skews towards happy endings despite my wishful thinking.
I still think about this guy and wonder if I could have done more to help…
